Lost Movement presents musicALL: the new production premieres at Kilowatt Festival
The new production by Lost Movement premieres at Kilowatt Festival: musicALL, the company’s new urban and participatory dance project, will debut on 25 July 2026 as part of the festival programme in Sansepolcro.
Following the path started with dancehALL, Danza Urbana XL 2025 winning creation, Lost Movement continues its research into the relationship between body, community and pop culture imagery with a second chapter dedicated to the social and ritual power of dance.
musicALL is born from the encounter between urban dance and musical cinema, inspired by five iconic films (Fame, Flashdance, Dirty Dancing, Footloose and Saturday Night Fever). The performance moves through images, gestures and movements that have entered the collective imagination, questioning how pop culture has shaped our perception of the dancing body and our desire to connect with others.
The square and public space become places of possible transformation: from everyday environments into spaces of liberation, encounter and sharing. Dance codes are revisited, fragmented and rewritten, becoming a shared language capable of involving performers and audiences in a collective experience.
With musicALL, Lost Movement continues its investigation into the social practices of dance, exploring the boundary between performance and participation, between individual memory and shared imagination.
The debut at Kilowatt Festival represents a new milestone in the company’s journey. Throughout the 2026/2027 season, the project will continue to travel through different urban and non-theatrical contexts, engaging communities and territories through performances and participatory processes.
