Gioele Cosentino

Gioele Cosentino, was born in Savona in 2000 and here he began his dance studies at the Centro Danza Savona, in 2005. He trained in a variety of styles, including classical ballet, contemporary dance, modern jazz, musical theater, floor barre, and tap dance. This gave him the opportunity to study with teachers such as Alessandra Schirripa, Ekaterina Desniskaja, Claudia Zaccari, Gustavo Oliveira, Giacomo Milli, and others.

With the CeDanSa Ensemble he participated in various productions such as The Art Life staged at the Fortezza del Priamar (SV) and the Teatro Comunale Luciano Pavarotti (MO).

In 2020 he deepened the studies of contemporary dance at NOD – Nuova Officina della Danza (TO) with international guests such as Spencer Theberge, Jermaine Spivy, Pau Aran Gimeno, Sita Osthemeir, Bruno Guillore, among the others.

He was selected by Wayne McGregor for the Biennale College Danza 2021, and he had the opportunity to study with guest teachers from some of the best contemporary dance companies and to perform at the 15th International Festival of Contemporary Dance, dancing Far by Wayne McGregor, Solo Echo by Crystal Pite, Selene’s Triangle by Thalia Abdiel.

Since 2021, he has been a stable dancer with the Sanpapiè Company in Milan, participating in various new creations and performing at prestigious theaters such as Teatro Elfo Puccini and Fonderia Aterballetto. The following year, he was selected for “I Di/versi”, a project by Balletto Civile, at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan.

Since 2022 he has been a dancer of the Lost Movement Company.

In 2023, he was selected as a guest dancer for Inventario 2023 by the Zerogrammi Company (Turin), took part in Fight or Flight (Mechanical Monkeys Company) which premiered at the Teatro della Tosse in Genoa, and began a collaboration with Ariella Vidach – AiEP with the debut of Hope, a new project featuring VR experiences and new technologies.

Also, in 2023 he graduated in Scienze Motorie e Sportive at the Unipegaso University.

In 2024, he began a collaboration with Il Posto – Vertical Dance Centre (Venice), learning to perform suspended on architectures and buildings, creating new spaces and perspectives. With the company, he toured Thailand, Sweden, Romania, and Italy (Spoleto, Festival dei Due Mondi).

Also in 2024, he participated in the performance Trilogia dell’estasi with the Zappalà Danza Company for the MILANoLTRE Festival.

Between June and July 2025, he performed in the site-specific project Santa by Aterballetto in Reggio Emilia.

He was recently accepted and enrolled in the SEAD – Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, with direct admission to the fourth year of the FIRE program. He is expected to graduate in June 2026.
