Lost Movement Company was founded in 2011 by Nicolò Abbattista, in collaboration with Christian Consalvo.
The productions are supported by important national institutions: Fattoria Vittadini and Fondazione Milano, Oriente Occidente in Rovereto, OPLAS/Centro Regionale Danza Umbria, Teatrino dei Fondi (Fucecchio), Consorzio Coreografico CON.COR.D.A (Siena), Residenze Artistiche Toscane and FLIC – Festival Lanciano in Contemporanea.
About the international distribution, the company is supported by Klub Żak and Gdansk Dance Festival (Gdansk, Poland), Platform14 (Berlin, Germania) and Dance Horizons, a distribution organization based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
The Company has received lots of recognition and awards over the years, including: Danz’è Off 2015, finalist at Premio Prospettiva Danza 2017, IDACO Festival (New York), Solo Dance Contest (Gdansk, Polonia), Abelianodanza Contest 2018, Time To Move 2019, Nessuno Resti Fuori – Festival di Teatro, Città e Persone, Festival Presente Futuro 2022 (Palermo), Movin’ Up 2021/2022 project to support artistic mobility and internationalisation, Special Prize at Movin’ Up Spettacolo – Performing Arts 2022/2023.
Lost Movement as part of the program “Per Chi Crea: Live and National and International Promotion” to support mobility for under 35 artists, has received the support of Ministry of Culture and SIAE.
Since 2023 the Lost Movement Company has been supported by Associazione Culturale Sanpapié, a dance production organization recognized by the Ministry of Culture.
